Title check

Here, the manual correction of the titles can be verified. The table presents the titles along with the images taken from the newspapers. The columns are as follows:

Title - the title or caption as it appears in the LABEL attribute in the logical structure in the METS file
Character - The number of characters in the Title text.
Error - Here, you insert the number of insertions, replacements or removals of 1 character that have to be done to get from the text in Title to the actual text that is displayed in the image.
Image - Here, an image of the title as it appears in the scanned version is included

At the bottom of the screen, you can save the analysis to an OpenOffice Calc file. You can also control the zoom level using the "Reduce size" and "Original Size" buttons, because many times the images will be bigger than needed. Finally you can see at a glance the current statistics with the number of characters in total in all the titles, the number of errors and the final percentage over the whole sample.
